Amir Salimi Lafmejani received his B.Sc. degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the Guilan University, Rasht, Iran, in 2013. His bachelor thesis was entitled “Control of Brushless DC Motor using Motion Control Board” under the supervision of Dr. Siavash Amin Nejad. In 2014, he was accepted for M.Sc. degree in Mechatronics Engineering in University of Tehran. He is a member of Human and Robot Interaction Laboratory (TaarLab) at the Faculty of New Sciences and Technologies and he started working on control of a 6-DoF pneumatically-actuated parallel mechanism. Amir is also a member of System Identification and Control groups in TaarLab.
His research interests are mechatronics, soft actuators, rehabilitation, optimization algorithms, optimal control, and mathematical problems. Also, Amir’s hobbies are chess, volleyball, football, Hap-ki-do, swimming and listening to music.
